Worship

It may be hard to walk in, but it’ll be easy to stay.

We know that walking into a new church can feel intimidating, but at St. Luke’s you’ll quickly feel at home. We’re a welcoming and down-to-earth community where connections happen naturally. By the time you leave, you might just feel like you’ve been among old friends.

Voices Of Our Church

St. Luke's has freed my vision about my life, it opens up possibilities for my life and others.

My cell phone connection to the divine has gone 5G when before I was using tin cans.

We are an Episcopal Church.

We cycle through every version of almost all possible worship practices in the Episcopal church. One season may be a sung eucharist, another may be the newest eucharistic prayers outside on the lawn with our pets. We will often pick a vibe for the liturgical season and reflect it in the liturgy—for example, Advent was a sung Eucharist with plainsong blended into blues (blues for Advent, which liturgical color is blue).

We come together to worship and serve and learn about God through each other.

There is a humility within our congregation—no one is here to impress. While our faces may not always reflect diversity, our economic backgrounds, theological perspectives, and life experiences certainly do. Here, the person who has never known hunger is a peer to the one who lives outside—they are equals and often close friends.

We are inclusive.

Church enterance

All are welcome to participate fully in the service of Holy Eucharist whether it’s the first time you come or the 100th time.

Church is casual.

Stop by and Say Hello compressed

Everyone wears what feels best to them. There is no dress code.

Children are welcome

Children are welcomed and celebrated.

Noisy baby? Won’t bother us. Curious toddler who likes to roam? All the better. Child who wants to hang out by the altar and help out the clergy? The more the merrier. We do also have a “soft space” with church-related books and toys and stuffies for kids to be comfortable and engaged.
