Community Meal

But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. And you will be blessed. (Luke 14:13-14, NRSV)
HomeServiceCommunity Meal
Since the 1990s, St. Luke’s has welcomed neighbors to a warm, home-cooked meal every Wednesday evening. The food is delicious—Executive Chef Vidorian sees to that—but it’s the friendship and fellowship that truly nourish the soul.

Voices of Our Church

I come because everyone here is welcoming and sociable and the food is good.

The food is the best! And I like that it’s nice down here with the pictures of everyone.

When I’m here, I don’t feel poor. I feel like an honored guest.

What keeps me coming back? You guys! This is my community.

I love the fact that it's such a basic need that someone's hungry and you can hand them a meal. There's something clean and pure about it. You get to know folks, too. It's just such a good feeling to be able to do that.
