Voices Of Our Church
People remember your story here and care about you.
What makes St. Luke’s so special is that it is a warm and welcoming group that is dedicated to showing Christ’s love in service to the community. It’s so beautiful to see people serve God in each their own way through volunteering, music, art, teaching, and caring for one another. Every new visitor is treated like family.
It's about the giving people that are here. I've experienced St. Luke's for 30 years and that's the constant—the giving, welcoming, smiling people.
I love the people here, the characters. I tell my friends, "Come! You'll love it. You'll have fun." It's different in the best sense of the word. If I wasn't here, I would be at a real loss.
Worship Community

Each week, we gather for worship, reflection, and fellowship, then share a delicious meal prepared by Chef Vi. This time together strengthens our bonds and forms the heart of our church, extending out to the many communities that make up our church family and inspiring all that we do.
Service Communities

At St. Luke’s, service is both an act of worship and a way to build community. Our core programs—the Mobile Pantry, Community Meal and Your Neighbor’s Cloak—have become more than just services; they have nurtured lasting friendships and strong connections among both volunteers and those we serve.
Neighborhood Communities
St. Luke’s is deeply rooted in the Detroit Shoreway and Cudell neighborhoods of Cleveland. We collaborate closely with local businesses and nonprofits to identify and address community needs. And as anyone who has attended Not Ya Mama’s Bingo knows, building vibrant relationships with your neighbors can be fun! And if you haven’t ridden the Euclid Beach Rocket Car at the annual Juneteenth celebration, you don’t know what you are missing.
St. Francis Pet Blessing
At the annual St. Francis Pet Blessing we celebrate the love and companionship of our animal friends. Pets bring joy, comfort, and connection and help to strengthen neighborhood bonds. Whether furry, feathered, or scaled, all pets are welcome to receive a blessing from Mother Leah as we give thanks for their presence in our lives.
Community of Churches
Simply put, St. Luke’s wouldn’t be able to do its work without the support of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio and the many churches that partner with us. In particular, our Gift of Giving Christmas Initiative and Back to School Bash are actively supported by our friends in other churches. Through these initiatives and our service activities, members from churches across the Cleveland area come together—not just to serve, but to connect, build relationships, and strengthen our shared community.
