Mobile Pantry
In 2007 St. Luke’s Episcopal Church joined the Greater Cleveland Foodbank and became a site to distribute fresh produce under the Mobile Pantry Program. The Greater Cleveland Food Bank delivers a truck load of fruits and vegetables on the second and fourth Monday of every month. The program distributes fresh produce to 200-300 individuals.
*Currently, to keep our volunteers and community safe, we are doing a “Drive-Thru Pantry.” Visitors to our Mobile Pantry are encouraged to drive to our location and remain in their cars. Volunteers will load trunks with bagged groceries.
The Second and Fourth Monday of the month from 5:00-7:00pm
Community Meal
St. Luke’s has provided a hot community dinner on Wednesday evening as far back as the 1990’s serving as many as 120 community residents. It is a family-oriented gathering, and all who attend are served no matter where they are in their life journey.
*Due to Covid-19, we are serving our meal as a “Grab & Go” outside our side entrance. No form of identification is needed. This program currently runs in parallel with our “Your Neighbors Cloak” program. We have made Wednesday’s the best day to grab a meal, personal items, and clothing all in one stop!
Every Wednesday from 6:00-6:45pm
Your Neighbor’s Cloak
In 2004, St. Luke’s began its “Your Neighbors Cloak” program on Monday afternoons, where gently used clothing was repurposed. The program expanded to include toiletry items that are not covered under SNAP, such as toothpaste and toilet paper depending on which week of the month. The program started in the basement of the charge but eventually outgrew the space. It moved to the neighboring Sperzel Community Building with grant support with the property now belonging to St. Luke’s.
*To keep our community safe, we have moved this program to Wednesday evening, and display the clothing outside our community building to limit traffic indoors.
If you are looking to donate to “Your Neighbors Cloak”, please note that we are re-evaluating our donation procedure. At this time to keep our volunteers and neighbors safe, donations must fit a certain criteria. To learn more, call our office at 216-631-2841.
Every Wednesday from 5:00-6:00pm
